Abe Cohn was a great teacher, and she got permanently hooked on throwing pots and mixing glazes while taking classes in his downtown Milwaukee studio many moons ago. A workshops with Emily Schroeder Willis and Nancy Gardner opened up new directions and lots of fun. Lisa loves to experiment with shapes, clays and glazes - her college chemistry and geology classes are put to good use. "Water, earth and fire come together make the clay and glazes I work with. My pots are a play with these powerful, delightful (and often surprising) elements. I am a paddler, sailor, photographer, grandma and water advocate, too. A portion of my sales will go to benefit Lifestriders, a therapeutic riding center started by my son and his wife. I couldn't be prouder of the amazing work this organization does to help children and adults with all sorts of physical and mental challenges." "We are all made of the same clay" |
